Gold Medal Park Refresh
The City of Long Beach is home to hundreds of athletes who win championships at California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) competitions and Olympians who break world records on the international stage. To prepare the next generation of athletes, the City selected a list of park facilities to receive a “Gold Medal refresh” treatment such as new basketball courts, a running track and field, and improving playground structures to better develop a child’s motor skills. By investing in youth recreational facilities, Long Beach residents have a level playing field to help them cross the finish line.

Infrastructure Investment Plan Overview
The Elevate ’28 Infrastructure Investment Plan has grown into an investment of more than $1 billion. Powered by over $300 million in voter-approved Measure A funds, along with hundreds of millions more from regional, state, federal, and grant sources, this is the largest infrastructure investment program in Long Beach history.
