Access to safe active transportation is key to a healthy community. Long Beach is committed to providing safe, accessible, and efficient routes for all abilities and ages. The projects listed in this plan will reconnect communities to the City center.
Projects such as the Shoemaker Bridge Replacement and Pacific Avenue Active Transportation Bikeway, will improve the bicycle network to get across town more easily and safely. Projects such as Artesia Great Boulevard, Anaheim Street, and Studebaker Corridor Complete Streets will rehabilitate numerous miles of roads, enhancing safety for multi-modal travel.

Infrastructure Investment Plan Overview
The Elevate ’28 Infrastructure Investment Plan has grown into an investment of more than $1 billion. Powered by over $300 million in voter-approved Measure A funds, along with hundreds of millions more from regional, state, federal, and grant sources, this is the largest infrastructure investment program in Long Beach history.
