Park Improvements
Long Beach is home to over 160 parks, 101 athletic fields, 90 playgrounds, 11 dog parks, two major tennis centers, and much more! In partnership with the Parks, Recreation, and Marine Department, Public Works will build upon the community’s vision for their neighborhood park and collaborate with the community on the design of new playgrounds, park amenities, and field improvements. Infrastructure Investment Plan Overview
The Elevate ’28 Infrastructure Investment Plan has grown into an investment of more than $1 billion. Powered by over $300 million in voter-approved Measure A funds, along with hundreds of millions more from regional, state, federal, and grant sources, this is the largest infrastructure investment program in Long Beach history.
